Cowboy Bob is a group of veteran musicians banded together to perform songs from the ‘Golden Era’ of popular music – a period extending from 1900 to the early 1950’s.

Accordion, acoustic guitars, upright bass and soaring vocals join in a delicious flurry of energy and virtuosity as the band showcases an eclectic assortment of timeless hits from artists as diverse as Al Jolson, Fats Waller, Gene Autry, Stan Getz, Sons of the Pioneers, Django Reinhardt, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Rudy Vallee, Hank Williams (Sr.) and Bob Wills. Cowboy Bob’s repertoire also includes a vast array of classic accordion instrumentals rendered in stunning fashion by the group’s award-winning accordionist Rod Miller.

Cowboy Bob boasts a mighty pedigree with three of its members hailing from the internationally renowned roots/country band The Cruzeros, an original recording act whose presence on the Canadian airwaves spans more than 25 years. During that time the group collected dozens of regional and national accolades including three CCMA ‘Special Instrumentalist of the Year’ awards, a Canadian Indie Award for ‘Album of the Year’ and a Juno nomination for ‘Group of the Year’.

Cowboy Bob is comprised of Rod Miller (accordion), Bob Verge (upright bass), Gary Smyth (acoustic guitar) and Curtis Tulman (acoustic guitar and vocals).
